“TOTALLY WAYBACK WEDNESDAY’S” 80′s Night at Howl At The Moon in Universal City Walk presents an incredible performance by GRETCHEN BONADUCE’S “ANKH,” a New Wave, Punked-Up 80′s Tribute band featuring Gretchen Bonaduce of the hit reality TV shows ”Breaking Bonaduce” and “ReInventing Bonaduce.” They hit the stage at 11 p.m.

Trainwreck, fronted by Tenacious D’s Kyle Gass and “Lee of the D” announced today that they will go off the rails this month in support of their latest CD, The Wreckoning.

Trainwreck has been described by Gass as a “cornucopia of rock and a 5-headed hydra of pleasure”. Beginning on February 27, Trainwreck’s classic/prog/Southern boogie wreck and roll extravaganza will head out on tour beginning at Dipiazza’s in Long Beach.  Mere days later, the band will cut a swath a mile wide from smoggy Southern California to Sin City and onto the southern United States. Bigbang’s Greni Nominated for Norwegian Grammy

February 9, 2010

Øystein Greni (above, center) of Bigbang was nominated this week for the 2009 Norwegian Grammy’s Spellemannsprisen, in the category of Popular Music Composer for the album Edendale.

Edendale, which went platinum in Norway and was just released in North America this month, is notable in that while this is the sixth nomination for the band (prior nominations include three for best album, one for best newcomers and one for best song), it is the first for Greni as a composer.
