The Brixton South Bay Presents 2 Incredible Shows This Week!

DIO Cancer Benefit Thursday, April 8th and THE ENGLISH BEAT Friday, April 9th

“Mr. 80′s” Julian Douglas welcomes, as The BriXton presents two incredible shows this weekend.

Thursday, April 8th, 2010: “Slay The Dragon,” a benefit with all proceeds going to Ronnie James Dio’s Cancer Charity featuring HOLY DIVER, the ultimate tribute to Dio. They go on at 10 p.m.

With a Special Guest: MR. CROWLEY, a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne (on at 8 p.m.).

Cover charge will be $12.00 the night of the show.

Friday, April 9th, 2010: THE ENGLISH BEAT, the original Kings of Ska and pioneers of MTV are back, featuring the one and only Dave Wakeling, as they celebrate 30 years of making incredible music. Since 1978 back in England, The English Beat fused ska, pop, soul, reggae and punk rock, creating a sound that would take them to the US and around the world and put their stamp on history.

Performing the legendary hits of The English Beat as well as of General Public, the ultimate MTV staples of the 80′s, like: Save It For Later, Mirror In The Bathroom, Save It For Later, Tenderness, I’ll Take You There, Tears Of A ClownTwist And CrawlNever You Done ThatHot Your Cool, Best FriendHands Off She’s Mine, Stand Down Margaret and more this intimate show.

With a Special Guest: DOS MEQUIS, featuring Moi and Mets1 of Tomorrows Bad Seeds, one of Southern California’s biggest reggae bands.

Both shows features ”DJ Mr. 80′s” spinning the hottest ”80′s Hits” all night long!

Plus Killer Drink Specials and Pinkie’s BBQ in the house, serving up BBQ Pork and BBQ Chicken Sandwiches, Mac ‘N Cheese and more. It’s the “Best Meat You’ll Ever Eat!”
