Sin City Gallery Presents CARDINAL OF SIGNIFICANCE Beginning July 1st

July 1, 2011

Sin City Gallery is delighted to present David Veliz and Christian Ruiz. Both artists are self-taught and under the age of twenty.  Their vision and talent is indeed inspiring. We know you will be captivated by the quality and composition of their respective works.  It is indeed a wonderful opportunity to acquire their work and invest in their careers as they begin to ignite.  In Cardinal Of Significance, each artist pushes and pulses the other in a superb balance of paint and photography.

The Cardinal Of Significance runs from July 1st thru the 30th.

The Artists

David Veliz, 20, uses bold, bright oils to paint mysterious and seductive women whose charms will ensnare you in bonds of irresistible desire, often leading you into the thoughts of dangerous and compromising situations. The femme fatales that Veliz presents in his series are sexy, possibly deadly and ever so hypnotizing.  The oil painting that you see Veliz working on below will be unveiled on July 1, 2011.   The painting is 60″ tall and it will command attention for its remarkable beauty. Veliz created the oil painting specifically for Cardinal Of Significance.

Christian Ruiz, 17, stunning photography “blurs the boundaries between highbrow and lowbrow, the cerebral and the unscholarly, the class act and the downright crass.” The photographs created for Cardinal Of Significance presents moments of innocence, confidence and naive indulgences.  Ruiz, featured below, creates work that is stirring, playful and innately appealing.  His use of modern substrates to present his imagery is designed to enhance the viewers experience while appreciating his series Wasted Times and Wasted Minds at the gallery.

The Sin City Gallery is located withing The Arts Factory at 107 E. Charleston Blvd., Suite 100, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tel: (702) 608-2461. www.sincitygallery.com.
