Wicked’s SPEED Finishes First At The 9th Annual XBIZ Awards

Just weeks after Brad Armstrong’s Speed crossed the finish line with three trophies at the 28th Annual AVN Awards, both the spectacular motorcycle adventure and production powerhouse Wicked Pictures proved to be equally formidable triple threats at the 9th Annual XBIZ Awards.

Held on Wednesday night, February 9th at the historic Hollywood Palladium on Sunset Boulevard, the star-studded gala was hosted by Jesse Jane and mainstream comic Whitney Cummings. Over the course of the evening, Armstrong’s three disc mega-production took home two high-profile awards – Feature Movie Of The Year and Best Cinematography (Francois Clousot, Jake Jacobs, and Mark Nicholson), while the consistently high quality of the work released by Wicked Pictures was recognized with an award for Feature Studio Of The Year. Similarly, Video Marc Dorcel, whose product is distributed in the United States by Wicked, was honored with an award for European Studio Of The Year.

Speed‘s impressive showing rivaled its performance at last month’s AVN Awards, where it received Best Video Feature, Best Director – Feature, and Best DVD Extras.
