NYOMI BANXXX Takes Pocono Film Festival By Storm

Nyomi Banxxx is heading to the 8th Annual Pocono Mountains Film Festival to support her mainstream Indie film, Caught in the Game, that she starred in and her company, That’s Common Productions, produced. Additionally, her production company will also be sponsoring the event and will have a booth. The festival takes places October 28th through 31st at the Pocono Manor in Tannersville, PA. Caught in the Game has won numerous awards at other film festivals and Banxxx is hoping this festival will be no different.
“I am very serious about making Indie films and am pleased to be a part of this event — it’s one of the best film festivals out there,” says Nyomi Banxxx. “You won’t find me under Nyomi Banxxx, though. I use my real name, Amanda Dee.
Unlike most porn stars, Nyomi Banxx was a runway model gracing runways around the world, before entering adult. A Chicago native, she began her career with Sony Entertainment’s R&B girl group, Carmen Jones. Next, she hit the modeling scene and was in demand by top designers, featured in top-selling men’s magazines, and appeared as a Ring Girl for EA Sports Fight Night.
Bringing a whole new look to adult, Banxxx has shot for every major studio including Wicked, Adam & Eve, Vivid and Hustler, was featured in Cinemax’s Zane’s Sex Chronicles and is only the second Black woman to have her own DVD released through Elegant Angel. She wrote, produced and directed a line of DVDs, Nyomi’s Diary Ebony Lesbian Edition. Banxxx was a cover model/centerfold in 2009 for Xcitement magazine, garnered multiple awards at the 2009 and 2010 Urban X Awards, and was nominated for a 2010 AVN for the song she sang in Video Team/Metro’s The Jeffersons: A XXX Parody.
Never one to be just defined as an adult entertainer, Nyomi Banxxx has her own her record label, FBC Records, produces Indie and mainstream TV pilots, designs her clothing line, A.K.I.S.S., and has an upcoming solo calendar for 2011 — the Nyomi Banxxx brand continues to grow. Before the end of 2010, she will have more than 10 adult films streeting, including Wicked’s blockbuster feature, Speed, Zero Tolerance’s Official Friday Parody, and Alexander DeVoe’s Dynamic Booty #6, along with two new websites.
