ROSE’S PAWN SHOP Celebrate DANCING ON THE GALLOWS CD Release At Spaceland

June 11, 2010

This Saturday, June 12

Rose’s Pawn Shop celebrate their SoCal record release party for Dancing On The Gallows at Spaceland on Saturday, June 12 at 8:30 p.m.  This is a 21+ show and tickets are $8 available at Ticketweb.

Rose’s Pawn Shop was born of the L.A. indie rock scene, but quickly became a musical melting pot, blending the old style American sounds of Woody Guthrie, Bill Monroe, and Hank Williams with the high energy punk of The Ramones and The Pogues and the melodic songwriting sensibilities of Elliott Smith and The Beatles.

Their new release Dancing On The Gallows hits retailers August 3, and has already drawn the attention of tastemaker radio station KEXP in Seattle who say “Rose’s Pawn Shop is as close to authentic bluegrass roots as you can get from an L.A. band. This is a compliment, not a bash… Rose’s Pawn Shop makes a statement with their music…[t]hey know their roots and that is remarkably bold.”

Spaceland is located at 1717 Silverlake Blvd., in Los Angeles. Tel: (323) 661-4380.
