Legendary performer/director Tom Byron snagged a top award at Wednesday night’s XBIZ Awards at the famous Avalon in Hollywood, CA: Tom won People’s Choice MALE PORNSTAR OF THE YEAR!
Says the studio head: ”Wow, this was completely unexpected. What makes it even sweeter is that is was voted on by the fans. Let’s face it: award shows have become a bit predictable lately with the same three or four guys winning Performer of the Year all the time. Same goes for Gonzo Director, etc. It’s like some voters are pre-programmed to give awards to the same people over and over…But with fan voting…that’s when you know you’ve connected with people. Byron appeared in numerous movies in 2009, most of which were performances shot for his eponymous studio, Tom Byron Pictures, distributed exclusively through Evolution Distribution in Van Nuys.
