DITA VON TEESE Returns To MGM Grand’s Crazy Horse Paris

February 23, 2010

To Perform On The Cabaret Stage For A Limited Engagement March 31 Through April 7

LAS VEGAS – MGM Grand’s Crazy Horse Paris is pleased to announce the return of burlesque artist and fashion icon Dita Von Teese to the famed Las Vegas cabaret stage after a sold-out engagement in April 2007.

The first guest star in the history of the famous cabaret, Von Teese will feature her new performance numbers that she developed especially for the Crazy Horse stage for her sold-out performances in Paris in early 2009. A DVD of the show was released in France in late 2009, in the U.K. in February of 2010, and will follow in Germany and the U.S. in the spring of 2010.

Von Teese will debut “Lazy,” a number featuring her and the Crazy Horse dancers, “Le Bain Noir,” a new take on her famous bathtub show she performed in Paris in 2006 and in Vegas in 2007, and “Teese’ing,” her interpretation of the iconic Crazy Horse number “Teasing.”

Shows will be at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. nightly from Wednesday, March 31 – Wednesday, April 7. The show will be dark Tuesday, April 6.

Tickets for Von Teese’s performances are on sale now and will be available for a special performance price of $75, not including taxes and service fees. Tickets can be purchased at any MGM MIRAGE ticket outlet by calling MGM Grand at (702) 891-7777 and online by visiting www.mgmgrand.com or www.ticketmaster.com. Guests must be at least 18 years of age to attend the show.

In addition, the MGM Grand’s Crazy Horse Paris Dita Von Teese Package will be offered at www.ticketmaster.com. Interested parties may bid on two packages which include two front row seats to one of Von Teese’s performances, a private backstage meet and greet, a signed photo and more.

“I’m really excited about returning to the Crazy Horse stage in Las Vegas,” stated Von Teese. “Not just as the featured performer, but reconnecting with the dancers. I had so much fun working with them onstage. It’s a team, and we all have mutual respect and adoration for each other. I rarely perform in the U.S. and I’m excited for the American people to discover the brilliance of Crazy Horse.”

Dita’s long-time fascination with 1940s cinema and her classic retro style have made her synonymous with classic vintage glamour. Best known for her cocktail glass show in which she performs an old fashioned strip tease while bathing herself in an oversized champagne or martini glass, Von Teese is in demand for high profile events and has garnered much attention from designers such as Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood and Cartier.

Since its inception in 1951 in Paris, Crazy Horse has been a cultural phenomenon offering unique shows that engage the eye as much as the imagination. Crazy Horse Paris shows rely on true body talent and beauty and combine sensuous choreography with various luminary and projection effects to create a moving canvas of skin, where reflections and images meet in a kaleidoscope of colors and textured designs. A series of glamorous women have performed as headlining guests in the show including Arielle Dombasle, Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra and Dita Von Teese. Crazy Horse Paris dancers are “simply the most beautiful girls in the world.”
