There were two awards shows recently, Europe’s Galaxy Awards and The Sex Awards in Hollywood, CA.

In the Galaxy Awards, Remy LaCroix took the Best New Female Performer America trophy, and at the Sex Awards she went home with Porn’s Perfect Screen Couple (Girl/Girl), sharing the award with Riley Reid.

“Being recognized by fans and your peers is always a huge honor,” Remy LaCroix said. “I’m thrilled and want to thank everyone, especially the voters, with both the Galaxy and Sex Awards.”

On October 9, the top stars in adult entertainment gathered at Avalon in Hollywood for The Sex Awards, hosted by jessica drake, presented by HotMovies.com, and produced by X3Sixty Network and AVN Media Network. Fan-selection winners in 17 award categories were announced before an industry-only crowd of hundreds of performers, directors, producers, and media.

Fans will have their opportunity to watch The Sex Awards in January 2014 when the inaugural event is broadcast on national television. It will be the first fan-choice award show for the adult industry to air and will include sexy, behind-the-scenes footage of the nominees, as well as an exciting reality show component.

The results included popular adult starlets Asa Akira and Riley Steele combining for five awards — Akira was voted Porn Star of the Year and half of Porn’s Perfect Girl/Girl Screen Couple (with Wicked Pictures’ jessica drake). The Asa Akira showcase, Asa Akira Is Insatiable 3 from Elegant Angel, received the Adult Movie of the Year award. Meanwhile, Steele earned Porn’s Best Body and Porn’s Perfect Boy/Girl Screen Couple (with Erik Everhard).

In addition to receiving her trophy for Porn Star of the Year, Akira was presented with an exquisite diamond bracelet from award sponsor Vivid Cabaret.

The glamorous evening also included a tribute to the legendary Ron Jeremy, who received the show’s first Lifetime Achievement award. Comedian Sam Tripoli, with the help of tourists and street performers on Hollywood Blvd., provided a mini-roast of Jeremy before the star came on stage to accept his award. Jeremy thanked the industry and his parents for instilling a hard work ethic in him regardless of what he chose to do in life.

“Congratulations to all The Sex Awards nominees and winners, as well as Ron on his well-deserved Lifetime Achievement award,” said Paul Fishbein, president of the X3Sixty Network. “It was a truly special evening, which fans will be able to fully experience in January through our broadcast.”

The Sex Awards announced adult starlets Ana Foxxx and Mia Malkova as Trophy Girls for its inaugural event. Baci Lingerie and Baci Lashes, the official Trophy Girl sponsor, will provide sexy wardrobe for Foxxx and Malkova. The Sex Awards take place at Avalon Hollywood on Wednesday, October 9.

Wicked Pictures’ multi-award winning contract performer and director jessica drake steps in for adult star Kayden Kross as host of The Sex Awards, the adult industry’s first consumer-voted award show to be broadcast on national television. The inaugural event will take place at Avalon Hollywood on Wednesday, October 9.

“I’m happy to be hosting The Sex Awards,” exclaimed jessica drake. “We’re breaking new ground as the first consumer-voted awards show on a national network. Live hosting is one of my favorite things in this business, and I’m really looking forward to bringing my personal touch to the stage.”

drake, an AVN and XRCO Hall of Fame inductee, brings with her a wealth of hosting experience, having co-hosted the 2007 AVN Awards with comedian Jim Norton, the 2009 XRCO Awards with Kayden Kross and the 2010 F.A.M.E. Awards with Sunny Leone. drake is also an accomplished sexual wellness speaker and educator who lectures at universities and teaches seminars and workshops globally.
