Sexual wellness authority and sex educator jessica drake spoke yesterday at Chapman University as a guest lecturer for the Psychology 340: Human Sexuality class, taught by Assistant Professor David Frederick for the Crean School of Health and Life Sciences.

drake addressed a class of undergraduates on a variety of topics including sexual health, relationships, feminism, the adult industry, tolerance, boundaries and consent. Over $20,000 was raised by TEAM WICKED for the 29th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles on October 13th. Led by Wicked Pictures performer and director jessica drake, and consisting of adult stars, industry members, and fans, TEAM WICKED completed the 10 kilometer fundraising walk through West Hollywood, CA in support of L.A. County AIDS Organizations.

Wicked Pictures performer, director, and emerging sex educator jessica drake is a featured celebrity bartender at Tuesday night’s Biggest Show of the Year fundraiser, held at downtown Los Angeles bar Down and Out (DNO). The event is headlined by national recording artists The Motels.

Sexual wellness authority and Wicked Pictures contract star jessica drake was part of an interview discussing L.A. County’s controversial Measure B, also known as the Condoms-in-Porn Law, on CNN Saturday morning as part of the CNN Newsroom program. The CNN Newsroom interview aired Saturday, November 10 at 10:15 a.m. EST. CNN anchor Randi Kaye interviewed drake, as well as male performer James Deen.

“From the performer’s standpoint, and the standpoint of a woman, I don’t like the idea of being told what I have to do with my body,” drake said on CNN. “We are tested every 14 to 28 days as performers. We are tested for HIV, Chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and I have been very comfortable with the testing protocols that we have had in effect.”

drake and Deen also described the misleading nature of Measure B. “On the ballot, it said ‘condom use,’ but then, later on, it says they can enforce the blood-borne pathogens law,” drake explained in the interview.

“It was a pleasure to represent our industry and Wicked Pictures to millions of CNN viewers who only see us performing, or don’t know us at all,” drake said. “We spent more than a decade developing a testing system to help keep our industry safe, and Measure B is a threat to our livelihood.”

Since 2004, drake has been a contract performer for Wicked Pictures, an adult-video company requiring condoms in intercourse scenes for more than 14 years. The proponents are calling it “direct democracy,” the opponents are calling it “vigilante democracy,” but regardless of one’s political compass, it all equates to the vibrant process of American democracy.
