AVN Media Network is pleased to announce the nominees for the 2014 AVN Awards, taking place at The Joint in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas on Saturday, January 18, 2014. Dubbed “the Oscars of Adult” by Entertainment Weekly, the AVN Awards celebrates excellence in the world of adult entertainment.

The AVN Awards nominating committee spent roughly six weeks painstakingly sifting through all the material at their disposal to compile a list of nominees in 135 categories, spanning the industry’s four main sectors. Among this year’s biggest contenders are Evil Angel with 161 nominations, Wicked Pictures with 138, Jules Jordan Video with 104, Vivid Entertainment with 75, and Juicy Entertainment/Exquisite Multimedia with 70.

Among filmmakers, Will Ryder, Axel Braun, B. Skow, and Brad Armstrong earned the most nominations. Ryder’s Not the Wizard of Oz XXX was one of the year’s most recognized, garnering 16 nominations, while Braun’s Man of Steel XXX scored an impressive 12. Skow proved the most prolific, turning out a dozen titles that received nods, including the controversial drama Daddy’s Girls. But, Brad Armstrong led the pack with 17 noms for Underworld, an original fantasy-based feature for Wicked Pictures.

Over $20,000 was raised by TEAM WICKED for the 29th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles on October 13th. Led by Wicked Pictures performer and director jessica drake, and consisting of adult stars, industry members, and fans, TEAM WICKED completed the 10 kilometer fundraising walk through West Hollywood, CA in support of L.A. County AIDS Organizations.
